Metal for Cancer Is The Modern Day Hear N’ Aid

Admittedly I’m not a big cause person. I usually pick and choose what benefits I think are the most important before I get involved in some way shape or form. Cancer research is something I think we can all agree is a cause that is worth fighting for because it affects everyone not just a specialized group. Recently cancer has taken artists from us like Phil Kennemore of Y & T and the legendary Ronnie James Dio and others have been afflicted and battled the disease as well like Nergal of Behemoth and James Murphy. Needless to say when Rock N’ Growl Promotions sent a press e-mail about the group Metal for Cancer I couldn’t say no. Especially when the flagship song is chock full of well known musicians from well known bands across Europe and the U.S. Go to their site and check out what they have and for every song you purchase the proceeds go to the Australian Cancer Research Foundation. In the meantime after the jump is the song ‘Let’s Unite in Rock’ which is a traditional metal anthem that flirts with power metal but combines the talents of a host of people to make a good song.
