Two Things: Happy 32nd Anniversary Iron Maiden and Rest In Peace Peter Steele

32 years ago Iron Maiden released their debut self-titled album. They didn’t know it at the time (or maybe they did), but this was the beginning of an era that would go strong for many years, even through the Blaze Bayley years. While the self-titled is not a favorite for most people, it’s no denying that it was the beginning of an evolutionary kick for the genre.

And on a sadder note, Peter Steele of Type O Negative and Carnivor died this day, two years ago. I really don’t feel it’s¬†necessarily to sit here and elaborate on his history. If you don’t know it, then google it. if you do, then show some respect. Rest in peace, Peter Steele.
