1984 was a good year for me. I was discovering bands like a madman(boy) and firmly entrenched in the hard rock and heavy metal music that kept coming my way. i remember seeing the ad in the back of a Circus magazine for a British band called Grim Reaper for the album See You In Hell. These guys hadn’t really taken off but yet but back then this is what the equivalent of what a PR person does now except instead of e-mail it was promo blurbs in the back of a rag. I didn’t think much more of it but that Christmas my mother decided to go and buy me cassettes of bands not having a clue of what I liked. I commend her for doing that especially since she was originally not happy about my music choices. So she asked the guy at the counter for recommendations on metal albums and he pointed her to this one. Cool cover and very evil and I listened to it. It was ok with the first two tracks being the standout. I never really followed these guys much but I remember this video coming out and kind of laughing at it.
I really laughed when Beavis and Butthead made fun of it years later.
