Here Is Amon Amarths Entire Set From Wacken To Kick Your Week Off.

It’s been really quiet on the TDM front since we did our mid year picks. Busy lives, lack of news and interesting releases has made it tough to consistently give you all some content. Well lucky for us that Wacken Open Air is such a big deal because they were gracious enough to professionally shoot select performances from this years festival. And since we haven’t spoken about Amon Amarth in quite awhile how about their entire set to get your week kicked off? Enjoy.

Devil’s Review: Grave Digger – Home at Last (EP)

The release of Home at Last has left me with a somewhat apprehensive feeling about Grave Digger’s upcoming album, Clash of the Gods.  Only one of the three songs here is from that album, so perhaps I am being unnecessarily cautious about what the entire album will sound like.  I am admittedly a fan of Grave Digger and credit them with truly bringing me back to metal in 2003, so I am trying to stay positive.  They haven’t let me down on their last 10 albums or so.

Dani Filth Gets Taken Down By Security, Gets A Boo Boo, Will Not Play At Wacken

Yep. That’s Dani Filth with his head mashed to the floor. This must be the year that front men get themselves into altercations and get their asses handed to them. Remember Nic Cage’s offspring? You can go here to get the full scoop on this little event. I can’t imagine the security guard had to much trouble with someone that always looked like Squiggy from Laverne and Shirley. I am pretty sure the conversation went like this though:

Security: “Cease le résistance!”
Dani Filth: “Oy ya foikin’ coint! Gawdon Bennet! You know who I am? OK??!?!?!”

But yes because of this, somehow Dani Filth got injured and so Cradle of Filth won’t be at Wacken this year. I wonder if he’s still pissed that he was rejected as being an icon. I’d say the people of Suffolk made a wise choice after all, roight guvna?
